WWE RAW RESULTS AND LIVE BLOG FOR JULY 25

Empires lost in confusion, golden hearts left of illusion. You said my big imagination, shattered, flickered creation. And hide over the ocean, waves crash in chemical motion, but me? I’m just here to liveblog this pro wrestling show for you, folks.

The show opens with Miz and Logan Paul brawling in the ring!

They get pulled apart and away from ringside.

The Bloodline make their entrance and Roman Reigns gets on the mic.

He tells Paul Heyman he doesn’t want to talk anymore, and Heyman welcomes us to the island of relevancy and talks to us about how Sunday marks 700 days of Roman Reigns as Universal Champion. He promotes the match at length, saying that Roman will finally rid himself of Brock Lesnar after keeping him down for ten at the show.

Enter Austin Theory.

He holds up the Money in the Bank briefcase and taunts Roman about how he’s gonna cash in. He gets in the ring and goes face-to-face with Reigns. Roman says he can appreciate what he’s trying to do, but he needs a wiseman or somebody to counsel him, so he’s got some words of wisdom.

He wants him to analyze the situation, and his daddy’s not here anymore, and this is his ring now. Reigns leaves, the Usos follow behind and Jey slaps Austin upside the head on his way out. Theory starts like he’s gonna pick a fight but Roman steps back into the ring and backs him down and we go to break.

Back from commercial, Austin Theory is still in the ring.

He gets on the mic and says he’s sure we all enjoy—

Enter Drew McIntyre, who apparently has a match against young Theory.

Austin Theory vs. Drew McIntyre

McIntyre going hard out the gates, beating him down and suplexing him into the corner, laying strikes in, big lariat, whip across, belly-to-belly suplex connects, Future Shock follows it up! Theory rolls to the floor, Drew drops him face-first across the announce table and we go to break.

Back from commercial, McIntyre with a nearfall, drawing Theory up, whip across, pass Drew to the floor! Austin happy to take the countout, McIntyre gets to his feet and Theory meets him at the apron and beats him down before throwing him into the steel steps!

Back inside, again looking to take the countout as referee Shaun Bennett counts, but Drew beats it! Austin meets him with mounted punches, McIntyre reverses with a straight suplex! Trading punches, big spinning spinebuster from Drew, Sheamus and the Brawling Brutes hit the ring and attack McIntyre...

Drew McIntyre wins by disqualification.

Sheamus tries to gouge his eye out with the broken shillelagh from SmackDown but Bobby Lashley makes the save and the babyfaces stand tall as we go to break.

Austin Theory & Sheamus vs. Bobby Lashley & Drew McIntyre

Back from commercial, match joined in progress and the heels are in control. Lashley tags in and lights Sheamus up in the corner, front chancery, Bob ends up on the floor, Pete Dunne runs interference while the others beat him down, Drew clears them out and referee Shaun Bennett throws Butch and Ridge Holland out as we go to break.

Back from commercial, Theory has a kneeling reverse chinlock in on Lashley, grinding him down. Sheamus tags in, clears the apron, but Bob hits a spinebuster and gets the tag! Drew lights Austin up with lariats, belly-to-belly suplex, neckbreaker, kip-up, Theory blocks Future Shock, off the ropes, spinebuster... NOPE!

The match breaks down into “everybody do something cool” territory, Austin draws Bob up, fireman’s carry, Dolph Ziggler shows up at ringside for the distraction...

Bobby Lashley & Drew McIntyre win by submission with the Hurt Lock from Lashley on Austin Theory.

Theory makes a slow exit and the Usos show up to lay him out with stereo superkicks! Roman Reigns comes down and places the Money in the Bank briefcase on his chest!

We get a “20 years of Rey Mysterio” video package.

We get footage from earlier tonight of Rey driving up in a luxury SUV with Dominik Mysterio in tow. They open the passenger doors and it’s Rey’s wife and his daughter Aliyah as well, and we go to break.

Back from commercial, Dolph Ziggler is intercepted while walking backstage and he’s interviewed.

He says he’s seen guys like Austin Theory come and go and AJ Styles rolls up. He says the two of them have a similar modus operandi, and—

Alpha Academy roll up and shush them and say they’re just jealous about Theory’s success. Styles takes it as them challenging for a tag match and Chad Gable confirms, and it’ll happen tonight!

The Mysterios make their entrance and we see a gaggle of folks watching the screen backstage.

Rey Mysterio gets on the mic.

He says twenty years is special and gives us backstory about his first match at the age of 14 in Tijuana, when he thought he’d never once perform in a WWE ring, travel the world, make money, and create legendary rivalries for all of us to enjoy. The truth is, guys his size, back then, weren’t part of the business.

But he was able to break that stereotype and create a new blueprint for what a superstar looks like. He became a world champion at WrestleMania 22 and made a lot of friends he’d like to thank along the way. Friends like Dean Malenko, Konnan, Batista, Kurt Angle, Edge, of course the great Eddy Guerrero, who he loves and he misses every damn day.

The truth is tonight he stands before us, truly humble and appreciative of all the support, and it’s special to be able to live all of that with his family. He says he knows Angie and Aliyah are watching backstage and he loves them both. One day he won’t be here anymore, and he knows Dominik will carry the Mysterio legacy to the fullest.

He says he’s had twenty of the most awesome fullest years, and he’s saving the best for last. Last but not least he wants to thank everyone here tonight, in iconic Madison Square Garden. He loves all of us and thanks all of us.

Finn Balor appears clapping in the crowd and he jumps the barricade, followed shortly after by Damian Priest from the other side, and we go to break.

Judgment Day (Damian Priest & Finn Balor) vs. the Mysterios (Dominik & Rey Mysterio)

Back from commercial, match in progress with the heels in control, Dominik gets the better of Finn and puts him in the corner for a beatdown and the tag. Rey with mounted punches, Priest tags in and chokes Mysterio in the ropes. Whip to the corner, leaping back elbow, big delayed slam!

Balor and Rey, enzuigiri, diving crossbody from Dominik, legal man, big arm drag and we go to break shortly after.

Back from commercial, tags made, Rey in hot with a basem*nt dropkick on Priest, springboard crossbody, passed to the apron, gamengiri takes Damian off his feet, back and forth, Balor in, Coup de Grace... DOM BREAKS IT UP! Finn puts boots to him, Priest goes and gets a steel chair and distracts referee Aja Perera after sliding it in and this time Balor does the Eddy Special!

Rey with a couple chairshots while Dom runs interference, then he does the Eddy Special but Finn successfully waves Aja off! Both heels in the ropes, stereo 619s, a little shimmy on the top...

The Mysterios win by pinfall with a frog splash from Rey Mysterio on Finn Balor.

We get footage of the ESPY awards, featuring the Rock and Titus O’Neil and Cody Rhodes winning the best WWE moment award for his WrestleMania return.

Bianca Belair is shown walking backstage to send us to break.

Back from commercial we see everyone celebrating Rey Mysterio’s 20th backstage when he and Dom walk through the door.

Aliyah goes and gets him a gift and he opens the box, revealing pink paper and a replica of his Halloween Havoc 1997 pink Phantom gear.

Rhea Ripley rolls up to stare them down and Aliyah steps up to her. Ripley piefaces her and drags Dominik out of the room! Rey gives chase and it’s a trap to bait him into getting beatdown by Judgment Day! Priest powerbombs him through a table!

Bianca Belair makes her entrance and goes to get on the mic—

Enter Becky Lynch.

She tries to get on the mic but Bianca cuts her off in return and says she’s got a big-ass mouth and she didn’t come to NYC to hear her run it, so she wants to remind her of a few things, mainly the reasons why she’s the EST of WWE. Lynch drops her with a right and and Bianca beats her down!

Becky with a double leg, they brawl, Bianca blocks a Manhandle Slam and gets her up in the backbreaker rack but Lynch ducks and bails over the ropes. Brawling to the floor, over the announce table, referees and road agents swarm and pull them apart!

We get a recap of Alexa Bliss and Asuka’s tag victory from a couple weeks ago.

Alexa is interviewed at Gorilla.

She says Doudrop keeps demanding these matches and she doesn’t understand why she and Nikki ASH make fun of her for hanging out with Lilly. She calls Becky and Bianca out and says it doesn’t matter who wins at SummerSlam because they both have watch their backs, because she’s reclaiming her title.

She makes her entrance and we go to break.

We go backstage with the Mysterios and Adam Pearce with some medics backstage. Judgment Day roll up to cause a distraction and Rhea Ripley lays Rey out with a suprekick!

Alexa Bliss vs. Doudrop

Bliss drops Nikki ASH off the apron and turns around into Doudrop with a crossbody out the gates, right hands, headbutt to the elbow, straight suplex... NOPE! Following it up with a Cobra Clutch, right hands, shoulder blocks into the corner, drop toehold from Bliss to turn it around.

Chest kicks, a vicious knee, more knees, cover for two! Bliss up top, Nikki trips her up, Doudrop scoops her up but she reverses...

Alexa Bliss wins by pinfall with the snap DDT.

Backstage, AJ Styles is chatting with Logan Paul.

Styles says he likes what he’s doing and he wants him to do everyone a favor and shut the Miz’s mouth at SummerSlam.

And so we go to break.

Back from commercial we get a recap of our opening brawl between Miz and Logan Paul.

Logan Paul makes his entrance and gets on the mic.

He says tonight is Monday Night Raw and the debut of Impaulsive TV and calls Miz out. When he doesn’t appear he accuses him of being a coward with shriveled balls.

Enter Maryse, who has a purse shaped like balls.

She gets on the mic and says she doesn’t appreciate Logan talking about her man’s package.

Enter the Miz.

He says he gave Logan everything and he wouldn’t have a WWE career without him. He taught him everything he knows, but not everything that HE knows, and at SummerSlam he’s not getting reality show Miz, he’s getting the Grand Slam Champion Miz and when the dust settles, he’ll know why he’s AWESO—

Paul tells him to shut up and all he does is talk, but Maryse tries to slap the mic out of his hands.

Tommaso Ciampa tries to attack from behind, Logan cuts him off, and Tom and Miz overwhelm Paul until the A-Lister can hit the Skull-Crushing Finale!

The Street Profits and the Usos are face-to-face interviewed with Jeff Jarrett in tow.

Both teams say they’re gonna win the titles and go to do catchphrases but Double J gets between them and mean mugs to cut them off.

AJ Styles and Dolph Ziggler make their entrance and we go to break.

Back from commercial, Chad Gable cuts a promo during his entrance, complaining about being booed as an Olympian, as a man with a master’s degree, and as a man with a 4.0 GPA.

He runs down the local sports team and offers a good look at a real tag team.

AJ Styles & Dolph Ziggler vs. Alpha Academy (Chad Gable & Otis Dozovic)

Ziggler and Gable to start, mat grappling gives way to a dropkick and a tag to Styles and we go to break.

Back from commercial, Alphas in control on AJ Styles and working him over. Ziggler with the hot tag but Dozer lays him out with a backfist! Gable in, exploder suplex, looking for Chaos Theory and he gets it! Chad off with the top, nobody home on the moonsault and Dolph drops him with a superkick!

Otis breaks it up, the match breaks down...

AJ Styles & Dolph Ziggler win by pinfall with a lateral press from Ziggler on Chad Gable.

Post-match, Dozer runs the babyfaces off.

We get some hype for the SummerSlam card.

The Bloodline make their entrance and we go to break.

Matt Riddle & Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford) vs. the Bloodline (Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso, & Roman Reigns)

Dawkins and Jimmy to start, side headlock, shot off, shoulder block, drop down, leapfrog, leapfrog, corkscrew elbow from Angelo for two! Tag to Ford, dropkick, cover, only two! Montez with right hands, Jey cuts him off, Bloodline running interference, choking him, he gets away and tags Riddle in!

Kicks in the corner, low bridge, tag to Ford, he wipes the Usos out with a tope con giro and we go to break!

Back from commercial, the Bloodline are working Matt Riddle over in the corner, tag to Reigns and he lights Matt up with the corner lariats! Back to Jey, Ford tags in, ducking and dodging, superkick, front kick, enzuigiri, back suplex, kip-up and Montez is fired up!

Blind tag from Roman, Rock Bottom... NOPE! Ford is busted open and bleeding all over his face, the Usos keep working him over, he stares on as we go to break.

Back from commercial, Ford is still in trouble but at least he doesn’t appear to be bleeding anymore. Montez gets some separation and the path is clear! Tags made, Riddle going to town on the Usos! Roman to the floor to brawl all over the Bloodline, but Matt catches him with the hanging DDT!

Reigns turns things around and catches him...

The Bloodline win by pinfall with a spear from Roman Reigns on Matt Riddle.

Post-match, Seth Rollins makes his entrance as the Bloodline make their exit.

Rollins walks past them without incident and sets Riddle up... BLACKOUT ON THE FLOOR! He hangs Matt up in the overturned steel steps... BLACKOUT ON THE STEPS!

That’s the show, folks.
